Thoughts Of Safety

Allergy Prevention

Do you find that when you do certain household chores that your allergies act up? Vacuuming and dusting can make even the mildest allergies feel like a full-blown attack. Protect your breathing passages while cleaning by using a dust mask to block out allergens.

Respirators are available in various styles to help you find one that is best for you and your needs. If you are only going to be wearing a mask for a limited amount of time, you may want to go with a fairly inexpensive mask such as the MCR Safety Nuisance Mask which cost around $5 for a box of 50. However if you are cleaning somewhere that may be humid or that may contain airborne particles more dangerous than just allergens, you may want to use a respirator that is a little more advanced. A flat fold respirator with a valve will keep the heat from your breath from heating up your face and it will filter out more particles than a simple dust mask.

Any of these masks would also be beneficial for when you brush your pets to keep hair from tickling your nose or when you mow your yard to prevent breathing gas fumes and grass particles.
