I have wondered, since we started selling Skullgard hardhats, exactly what is a skullgard hardhat? So I've searched the internet and what I find is that they are designed for use in steel mills and other heavy industries where high temperatures are common. But this is all I can find and there are other questions to be asked. Why is it important for these to be used? Are they sturdier than regular hardhats? What are they made of that makes them better? Why is it important that these be used in high temp environments? So my search continues.

One thing I did find is that these helmets are made from fiberglass instead of hard plastic like your regular hardhat. At least I think they are, only one site mentioned this and I'm not sure how reliable they are. I will be researching this further and get back when I know more.
